About

Law Brief Update was launched in January 2005 with the aim of providing succinct and accurate summaries of all the major legal cases written by barristers who are expert in their field. Since then we have grown to the extent that our emails now go out to over 10,000 people and we have a team of around 25 specialist barristers. For the last three years we have also been sending out our very popular Weekly News email which provides summaries of and links to the best legal stories of the week, the best blog posts and then a section with some of the more amusing stories of the past few days.

This site and our newsletters are published by Law Brief Publishing who also produce Personal Injury Brief Update, and PIBU Law Journal. It was set up by barrister and writer Tim Kevan and IT expert Garry Wright who have known each other and been friends since they were at primary school together.
